Since 2018, Orisun has sourced from West Africa and beyond, seeking out ingredients trusted long before they had a marketing name. Every ingredient earns its place in the bottle on the strength of what it actually does, not what it sounds like on a label.

Shea Butter - The foundation of nearly everything we make. Used for generations to protect and repair the skin barrier, shea butter is rich in vitamins A and E and the fatty acids modern dermatology now confirms the skin actually needs, which is why it shows up in everything from our Whipped Body Butter to Skin Repair Butter.​

Baobab Oil - Light, fast-absorbing, and dense with vitamins A, D, E, and F. Where heavier oils sit on the surface, baobab moves into the skin and stays there lasting hydration without the weight.

Moringa Oil - Known as the "miracle tree" oil for a reason: it nourishes and protects without clogging pores or hair follicles, which makes it a quiet workhorse across both our hair and skin formulas.

Jojoba Oil - Technically a liquid wax, not a true oil, which is exactly why it works so well: it mirrors skin's own sebum closely enough to absorb almost instantly, helping balance rather than overload oil-prone skin. Rich in vitamin E and antioxidants.

Kukui Oil - Pressed from candlenut and traditionally used across the Pacific Islands for centuries, Kukui oil carries a high concentration of the fatty acids skin needs to repair its barrier and calm irritation. Fast-absorbing and suited to sensitive, reactive skin.

Cacay Oil - Native to South America, Cacay carries one of the highest natural vitamin E concentrations of any plant oil, more than Argan, ounce for ounce, alongside fatty acids that support elasticity and a brighter, more even tone over time.
